GA-Allstars Gymnasts Selected To Perform At
UNICEF Fundraiser

GA-Allstars gymnasts received a special invitation to perform as part of a Cirque Du Soleil style performance, that was given at the very exciting, energetic and unique UNICEF (United Nation's Children's Fund) fundraiser held at the Venue on Lambert Drive, that celebrated Atlanta's fashion, diversity and community in grand style. UNICEF works for the survival,
protection and development of children worldwide through education, advocacy and fund-raising.It was created for educational and charitable purposes to raise funds for UNICEF-assisted projects and to increase public awareness in the United States about the challenges facing the world's children.  Atlanta radio personalities Vikki Locke and Tom Sullivan from STAR 94 FM served as co-emcees for the evening and Sir Elton John's AIDS Foundation was one of the events benefactor sponsors and again served as the event's honorary chairman.  Billed as a "Celebration of Cultures," the event was designed to spotlight the enormous and diverse talent of the Atlanta community with an emphasis on style and fun.

GA-Allstars Gymnastics owner, Becky Oppenheimer and office manager Sennie Clark, who both coach the optional gymnasts and are NAWGJ judges, were thrilled that their athletes had been selected to be a part of the event.  Mrs. Oppenheimer stated, "We feel honored to have been a part of such a worthwhile event that helps to raise money to help children around the world.  We always encourage our gymnasts to give back to the community and this is a way they can use their gymnastics skills to benefit other children.
